Randy Dalzell joined the Warner Pacific University athletic department as Director of Track & Field and Cross-Country in 2018. He joined the Knights staff with more than 25 years of experience under his belt at institution across the Northwest with years spent at Cascade College, Northwest Nazarene University, Bend High School, Concordia University, George Fox University, and now WPU.

Prior to Warner Pacific, the native of Lewiston, Idaho, led and/or assisted three different programs to national championships; Northwest Nazarene (2001), Concordia University (2011) and George Fox (2018). With over 20 Conference and/or NAIA Regional Coach of the Year recognitions, Coach Dalzell has also garnered two National Coach of the Year honors; 2001 NCCAA Men's Cross-Country Coach of the Year, and 2011 NAIA Women's Track and Field Coach of the Year for his efforts in leading Concordia to the Women's National Title.Â
In his time, Randy has coached 189 NAIA All-American’s, 27 NAIA National Champions and 45 NAIA Scholar Athletes.
Two Warner Pacific athletes made the 2019 All-American list under Dalzell’s leadership, including the Warner Pac Women’s Cross Country team, who competed in the 2019 Cross-Country Nationals, notching WPU’s highest national finish and first XC All-American with a 10th place finish.

Dalzell, a dual-sport athlete in Basketball and Soccer received his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics/Secondary Education from Columbia Christian College before continuing his education at Linfield College, obtaining a Master’s in Physical Education/Exercise Science.

Outside of his passion of coaching, Dalzell enjoys reading, business ventures, music, and baking. Randy and his wife Charlene of 30 years and have three children; Allison, DJ and Matthew. Their family resides in Happy Valley, Oregon.
