Josh Westermann

Josh Westermann was named Warner Pacific’s head women’s soccer coach in 2019 after five seasons at San Diego Christian College.
 
In his first year, the Knights notched the most conference wins in six seasons. While doing so, Westermann led 14 Academic All-Conference, 1 All-Conference and 2 NAIA Scholar-Athlete’s.
 
During his time at San Diego Christian, Westermann notched a 36-19-5 overall record with 4 playoff appearances, 4 All-Americans, 31 All-Conference and 45 Academic All-Conference athletes.
 
As a collegiate player, Westermann led Yavapai College as a captain to back-to-back NJCAA National Championships in 2002 and 2003. He was recently inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame. Westermann went on to establish himself as a team captain and key All-Conference performer at Division I Gonzaga University in 2005-06, graduating with a degree in Sports Management. In 2005 he captained the Cascade Surge to the Northwest Championship and National Quarterfinals, earning All-PDL honors as one of the top 11 players in the nation.
 
Westermann was a member of numerous professional teams, including teams in the Kenya Premier League and the PDL.
 
The native of Oregon City, Oregon, obtained his Master of Science in Sports Management from Liberty University.
 
Outside of coaching on the pitch, Westermann enjoys fly fishing, camping and hiking. He and his wife Amy have two children; Avery and Hudson and reside in Sandy, Oregon.
