PORTLAND, Ore. - Avenging a loss to the Beacons just eight days ago, Warner Pacific defeated Northwest Christian 1-0 today to remain undefeated in conference play. 

The Basics

 Records: WPC (5-5-1, 2-0 CCC), NCU (4-6-0, 0-2 CCC)
 Location: Strasser Field, Portland, Ore.
 The Short Story: Lynzee Felder scored a goal in the 41st minute to send Warner Pacific to their second CCC win of 2014. The Knights outshot the Beacons 13-5 for the game, but neither team had many clear chances at goal. The score by Felder was enough for WP, as Allie Holterman made three saves in the second period to earn her fourth shutout of the season.

Notables

• Erin Graham nearly scored for WP before the game was two minutes old, but her header clanged off the crossbar.
Felder scored her first goal of 2014 in the 41st mintute, striking a ball from 15 yards that scooted under the outstretched arm of Beacon goalkeeper Kristen Fulbright. 
• Fulbright was forced into three saves before halftime, but just one in the second period.
• The second half was relatively uneventful, as two fatigued teams struggled to find a path toward goal. 
• NCU's best chance came in the 80th minute, but Melysa Weber's flicked header after a free kick was gobbled up by Holterman.
