ASHLAND – Four different Southern Oregon women's soccer players scored Friday evening as the Raiders earned a 5-1 win over Warner Pacific at Raider Stadium.
Allyson Ward, Kelsey Randall and Megan Kapp got on the board in the first half. Lisa Elledge tallied in the 54th minute, and Kapp scored again in the 77th to punctuate SOU's third consecutive triumph.
The Raiders got WPC down early, taking advantage of Elledge's corner kick in the 11th minute that found Ward's head and was lined in for a short goal, her fourth of the season. Three minutes later, Randall made it 2-0 with an open look that she bounced in from 17 yards out and straight on after intercepting a Knights pass.
Staci Tatum cut into the lead with an unassisted goal in the 17th minute, firing home from seven yards away. The boost was short lived, as Kapp made it 3-1 two minutes before halftime.
Elledge was next, collecting a pass from Sarah Garoutte and connecting from 18 yards with a shot that snuck just inside the right post. Then it was Kapp, whose fifth goal of the season was good for an Yvonne Valencia assist – the first point of her career.
