LA GRANDE, Ore. - Eastern Oregon scored two goals in each half on the way to a 4-0 win over Warner Pacific last Saturday.
EOU out shot the Knights 21-11 on the day, with WP keeper
Cathy Lara making six saves in 90 minutes between the pipes.
Sitera Allison led Warner Pacific with five total shots, two of which were on goal.
The result was the 5th straight loss for the lady Knights, and a disappointing finish after being in playoff contention a few short weeks ago.
"We are disappointed as team with the results the last couple of weeks," said coach
Holly Popenuk. "If you look at the schedule you'll see plenty of close losses and games that could have gone the other way. We took a step forward in competitiveness this season and we were able to score almost twice as many goals as last year. We've got a great group of ladies and I look forward to making a run for the playoffs in 2017."Â
