SALEM, Ore. - Six different players scored goals for Warner Pacific during a 6-0 romp over Sierra Nevada today in Salem.

• The Short Story: The Knights exploded for six goals versus the SNC Eagles to win their first season opener since 2011. The six goals were also the most scored in a game by WPC since 2007. Playing their third game in three days, Sierra Nevada could not keep up with the diverse attack from the Knights.
How it Happened
• Sitera Allison got the year started with a goal in the 15th minute, sending in a shot after a scramble in the box.
• The Knights controlled the majority of possession for the game, and ended outshooting SNC 38-6.
• Taylor Kern scored her first career goal in the 29th minute, tapping home a cross from Allison.
• WP tallied four more after halftime as
Ashley Giesbers,
Joie Lopez,
Kaylee Garvey, and
Mackenzie Ancien all scored their first goals in a Knight uniform.
• The visiting Eagles did press forward on occasion, and forced
Cathy Lara into four saves to earn the shutout.
