PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific lost another close game, this time 2-1 at home versus Corban University at a windy Damazo Field.
Annouska Kordom scored the winning goal for Corban in the 60th minute. Her shot looked to be covered by Knight keeper
Monivoi Vataiki, but the ball took a deflection through the box and rolled across the line.
WPC took an early lead, as
Mackenzie Ancien placed a shot from 18 yards into the corner in the 12th minute.
Nadine Correa tied the game for the visiting Warriors six minutes later with a nice turn and finish in the box.
Corban outshot WPC 13-6 for the game. Vataiki made five saves for the Knights, while Warrior netminder Sheyenne Bruvsen stopped three shots.
