PORTLAND, Ore. – Goals abounded in a CCC matchup between University of Providence and Warner Pacific today at Damazo Field, with the visiting Argos coming out on top, 4-3.
Providence (3-4, 2-1 CCC) got off to a quick start, finding the net three times in the first 30 minutes during a downpour of rain. Alejandra Guzman scored the first two, and Sydney Knieram chipped in a long distance shot from 25 yards away.

The host Knights (3-4-1, 1-1-1 CCC) began the second half with a barrage of shots and earned three corner kicks, but it was Providence that tacked on another goal. In the 82nd minute Eme McLaughlin rounded WP keeper
Zoey Dahme and seemed to salt the game away by giving her side a 4-1 advantage.
WPC responded with two goals in quick succession.
Mackenzie Ancien fired in from the top of the penalty area in the 86th minute, and then
Ashley Giesbers headed a goal into the net just 60 seconds later.
