Knights Host a Pair of Conference Foes

The Warner Pacific Men's Wrestling team played host to a pair of Cascade Collegiate Conference opponents Saturday, dropping each match by a score of 29-22 to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and 33-20 to Eastern Oregon University.  The Knights are now 1-5 in CCC dual action.
 
Austin Wallace-Lister and Zach Sias each put together 2-0 performances on the day for Knights. Additionally, Connor Finch was 2-0 by accepting a pair of forfeits at 125 pounds, Cortez Rodelo was 1-0 at 285 pounds, Aaron Vang was 1-1 at 141 pounds and Colby Winnett was 1-1 at 174 pounds. 
 
Wallace-Lister asserted his dominance on the mat in his first action since taking fifth at the Reno Tournament of Champions and earning a top five national ranking at 133 pounds.  Wallace-Lister put together a pair of wins by major decision, winning his first match 20-9 to ERAU's Collin Anderson and then taking a 17-7 victory over EOU's Nathaniel Rodriguez. 
 
Sias glided to a couple of key conference wins at 149 pounds, taking his first match by 12-9 decision to ERAU's Berit Sturgeon then coasting to an 18-7 major decision over EOU's Daniel Rodriguez.
 
Rodelo picked up a win by fall in 3:19 over ERAU's Garrette Branson, Vang won by fall in 2:59 over EOU's Blake McNall  and Winnett bumped up to 174 to take a 4-2 decision over ERAU's Stone Aguirre. 
 
The Knights will host the Grays Harbor College Chokers Tuesday for Senior Night at the C.C. Perry Gymnasium.  Match time is scheduled for 6pm.
