Knights Fall Short of Playoffs with Loss to Southern Oregon

ASHLAND, Ore.| The Knights fell just short of the playoffs thanks to a 3-0 loss against Southern Oregon to close out the regular season.

The Knights had their work cut out for them heading into the game. They needed a win in order to secure the final remaining spot for conference playoffs. They faced a tough opponent in the form of Southern Oregon, a team who has received NAIA Top 25 votes throughout the season.

The Raiders overpowered the Knights in the game, outshooting Warner 31-6.

Southern Oregon got their first goal in the 9th minute. They were held scoreless for the remainder of the half, but scored twice in the second half to put the Knights away.

Knights goalkeeper Kate Pomerinke recorded 12 saves on the game, bringing her season total to 104, which is good enough for 3rd overall in the conference.

The loss drops the Knights to 6-9-3 on the season and ends Warner's playoff hopes for this season.

Although it wasn't the end outcome they were hoping for, the Knights turned in their best season since 2014 in their first year under new head coach Justan Wolvert.
