Knights Seniors Get Final Sendoff

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 28th, 2023

Portland, Ore. | The Knights celebrated Senior Day today which had a lot of laughs, tears, and great memories reminisced amidst a 7-0 loss to the College of Idaho.

The Knights unfortunately weren't able to get anything going offensively or defensively in this one. However, today wasn't as much about the game as much as it was about the seniors. Brin Wolvert for instance unfortunately had a season ending injury a few weeks ago but she started the game for the Knights today. No, she didn't play, she just participated in the kickoff and then came off the field in a substitution to a huge round of applause. Maddie Goss was also celebrated for her goal that she scored less than a minute into playing in her first match since her ACL injury she suffered last season. The day was full of great stories and love.

"We knew it was going to be a tough day against a very good C of I team," Head Coach Justan Wolvert said. "Lead by our seniors, we fought until the end and left it all on the field. Always a sad day when the season ends but we have a motivated group coming back who are looking forward to getting to work in preparation for next season."

Next Up
The Knights finish the season with a 5-10-2 overall record and a 2-8-2 conference record. They will head into this offseason to improve and will be back stronger than ever next August.
