Knights Win Championship in First Season

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 28th, 2023

Portland, Ore. | The Knights played Southern Alberta Institute of Technology tonight in the LoL Championship and the Knights showed what they're made of and won the match two games to one to take home their first championship in their first official season.

"It's surreal that our inaugural season is over but we couldn't be happier with the outcome," Head Coach Katie Hart said. "Our victory tonight came against one of our regular season opponents. When we faced them the first time we were missing Egg who is our highest ranked player. Tonight we were hoping for a rematch. After the first game was lost, we were really disappointed but the team used our 5 minute break to watch footage, find some critical errors, and recalibrate. We were able to slow down and make steady progress in games 2 and 3 to push to victory. Love the tenacity this team has shown and now we look forward to celebrating with a team dinner of sushi."

The Knights found themselves tied after the first two games and at that moment they bared down and got it down in the third and decisive game. Congratulations to our Knights for getting it done! Being the champions in the first initial season is a huge deal and should be highly appreciated. If you see any of our Knights roaming the halls, please give them a huge round of applause for thier amazing accomplishment.
