Kirkland, Wash.| In today's match, the Warner Pacific Women's Soccer team took on Northwest University and couldn't connect today as they took a loss 3-0.
Northwest controlled the match from start to finish. The Eagles opened the scoring in the 29th minute when Talia Hurst found the back of the net assisted by Hailey Deese giving Northwest an early edge. Warner Pacific struggled on offense in the first half only attempting five shots, with goalkeeper Kate Pomerinke keeping the Knights within reach by stopping several potential goals
In the second half, Northwest's attack continued to press, extending their lead in the 63rd minute with an unassisted goal from Gracie VanAssche. The Eagles sealed the win in the 85th minute when Ella Baker converted a pass from Sara Becerra to make it 3-0.
Warner Pacific had six shots on goal for the game and unfortunately couldn't break through Northwest's defense. Pomerinke finished with nine saves in a strong individual effort.

The Knights have one more game left in Washington as they head to Olympia, Washington to take on the Geoducks of Evergreen State College on Sunday. The game will kickoff at 12:30pm.
