Knights Split Day Scoring 27 Runs in the Process

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - March 15th, 2025

La Grande, Ore| In their second set of double headers the Knights split against Eastern Oregon University.

In the first game the Knights came out slow and lost with a score of 13-10. In game two the Knights hit the glass winning with a score of 17-9.

Game one
In game one the Mountaineers led 12-3 going into the eighth inning. This is when the Knights bats woke up as they put up a seven spot. However it was not enough and the Knights suffered a loss.

At the plate Mitchell Thoma-Britt led the Knights in hits with four. However, Thoma-Britt was not the only one hitting well as three Knights hit home runs: Mason Deverna, NeaColi Winston and Shawn Hunt each checked in with one.

Game two
In game two the Knights hit the gas scoring four in the second, and then 13 in the last five innings of play. The Knights were led in hits by Colby Barnes, who came back from injury and had two doubles to top off his five hit day. Mason Deverna added another home run to the weekend as well, along with three RBI's for the Knights.

On the mound, Coach Jeff Bard looked to Connor Hale. Hale went six innings with four strikeouts to get the win. The save went to Mason Deverna who threw the final three innings with four strikeouts.

Up next
