Knights Welcome Brylie Welch to the 2027 recruiting class

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 14th, 2026

Portland, Ore. – The Warner Pacific University women's volleyball program is excited to announce the addition of junior transfer libero/defensive specialist Brylie Welch to the Knights.

A native of Richland, Washington, Welch comes to Warner Pacific after beginning her collegiate career at Cerro Coso Community College. She brings collegiate experience to the Knights' back row as she prepares to continue her career in Portland.

Welch attended Richland High School, where she was a multi-sport athlete throughout her prep career. She competed in volleyball for all four years while also playing four years of softball, gaining valuable experience competing in two sports.

Following high school, Welch continued her volleyball career at Cerro Coso Community College. During her time with the Coyotes, Welch was part of a team that made program history by setting a new record for the most non-conference wins.

Now making the move to Warner Pacific as a junior transfer, Welch will compete as a libero/defensive specialist for the Knights. Her collegiate experience adds another option to Warner Pacific's back row as the program continues to build its roster for the future.

Off the court, Welch plans to pursue a degree in nursing with a minor in psychology at Warner Pacific, continuing to balance her academic goals with her collegiate volleyball career.

Brylie brings a competitive serve and strong defense we need in the back row," Head Coach Nerisa Laban said. "Her energy is contagious and we are excited to have her at WPU."

The Knights are excited to welcome Welch to the Warner Pacific family and look forward to seeing the Richland native continue her development on the court and in the classroom.
