Chris Thoms will begin his 2nd season as the head men's soccer coach at Warner Pacific in 2016.
Thoms is a well-known club coach and individual trainer in the Portland area, working with Portland City United and Southside soccer clubs, as well as his own training and consulting business. His playing career spanned international professional opportunities in England, the Netherlands, and Thailand. He also competed domestically with the Cascade Surge.
Coach Thoms is currently a staff coach with Portland Timbers Olympic Development Program, where he has worked with elite level players since 2012. He holds the USSF "B" Coaching License and earned a B.S. in Sociology from Portland State University in 2013.
