David Kilian


David Kilian begins his second year in charge of the Cross Country and Track & FIeld programs at Warner Pacific. He has already made a mark on the teams with increased numbers of athletes particiapting and improved performances in competition.

Kilian arrived at WPC after four years as head coach at Sam Barlow High School in Gresham. His teams Barlow enjoyed tremendous success. The Bruin girls team has won three straight Mt. Hood Conference Championships and finished runner-up at the 2013 6A OSAA Championship meet, while the boys squad won four consecutive conference championships (2009-12), and finished runner-up twice at the OSAA's. His student-athletes have also excelled in the classroom, consistently ranking in the top 10 in Oregon for team GPA.

During his time at Barlow HS, Kilian was named Mt. Hood Conference Boys Coach of the Year twice (2009, 2011), and Girls Coach of the Year in 2012. His prior coaching experience includes stints as an assistant coach at Reynolds High School (2004-08) and North Marion High School (2002-04).

Kilian earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2002, and Masters in Teaching in 2003 from George Fox University.

Kilian and his wife Nicole have two sons - Liam (6) and Isaiah (2).
