Summary

Biography

Alvaro was born in Los Angeles, but moved to Salem where he attended McNary High School. During his high school career, Alvaro participated in cross country and wrestling. He was a district wrestling champion and state finalist. Alvaro and teammate, Lucas Higginbotham, were the first Americans ever to compete in the Koresh Belt Wrestling World Championships in Kazan, Russia. During the same international trip, Alvaro competed in the Wrestle Without Borders competition in Smolensk, Russia.
Alvaro’s favorite food is tacos, but he also loves Poke, Carnitas, and Salsa Verde (not green) and he adamant in his declaration that everyone should stop putting ketchup on tamales. His favorite dessert is Arroz con leche.
His major is in Biology & Human Anatomy.
