Sam Flores joins Warner Pacific with a strong coaching background and a passion for athlete development. Most recently, he served as an assistant coach for the women’s volleyball team at Pacific University, competing at the NCAA Division III level. Prior to that, Sam coached club volleyball and was the head coach for the girls’ varsity volleyball team at Columbia Adventist Academy, where he led the team to back-to-back State Championship appearances and was named Coach of the Year in 2022 by the WIAA Columbia Valley League. Under his leadership, numerous athletes earned First and Second Team All-League honors, with several advancing to compete at the collegiate level.
Sam’s coaching philosophy is rooted in four core pillars: respect, compassion, discipline, and commitment—values he believes are essential for building elite athletes both on and off the court. He is excited to bring his experience, energy, and leadership to the Lady Knights program and contribute to Warner Pacific’s pursuit of championship-level excellence. In his free time, Sam plays racquetball, competing in state tournaments and also enjoys traveling with his family.
