Matt Gregg

Matt Gregg serves as the Athletic Director at Warner Pacific University, where he provides strategic leadership for the university’s athletic programs while continuing to invest deeply in student-athlete development. Prior to his current role, Gregg spent 15 years as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, building a competitive and respected program marked by a commitment to excellence, accountability, and holistic growth.

Before transitioning into collegiate athletics full-time, Gregg worked as a junior high history teacher, an experience that continues to shape his passion for mentorship, education, and character development. He holds a Master’s degree in Technology in the Classroom and is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, further strengthening his ability to lead with vision and adaptability in a rapidly evolving collegiate landscape.

Gregg believes strongly in the mission and impact of Warner Pacific, often describing it as “a transformational place.” He emphasizes the importance of developing the whole student-athlete, encouraging participation in campus life, engagement in community service, and a relentless pursuit of academic and athletic excellence. Under his leadership, the focus remains on preparing student-athletes not only to compete at a high level in their sport, but also to grow as leaders, professionals, and contributors to their communities.

Matt and his wife, Kori, have been married for 30 years and are proud parents of three sons—Jordan, Patrick, and Benjamin—as well as grandparents to Max and Harry. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys watching all sports, hitting tennis balls, golfing, and spending time at the grill perfecting meals for family and friends.
