Knights Earn Win in Eugene, Defeat NCU 3-1

EUGENE, Ore. – The Warner Pacific volleyball team earned their second Cascade Conference victory of the season on Saturday, defeating Northwest Christian 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 24-26, 25-21).

The Knights fought off several challenges from the host Beacons, including 15 tie scores in the first two sets. WPC managed to win each by the score of 25-21.

NCU rallied to take set three in a squeeker (24-26) and held a 13-6 lead in the fourth. Fortunately, the Knights came roaring back to tie the deciding game at 15-15 before pulling away at the end.

Warner Pacific (4-11 overall, 2-7 CCC) was led by Samantha Kolakowski with team highs of 17 kills and 18 digs. Emily Damschen had 16 kills and Melita Elliot finished with 23 assists and 15 digs.

Northwest Christian (5-11, 1-8 CCC) was led by the 18 kill, 13 dig effort from Janel Fetters.
