CALDWELL, Idaho - College of Idaho clinched at least a share of their sixth-straight Cascade Conference championship by upending Warner Pacific 25-15, 25-12, 25-11, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center tonight.
The Knights (2-16, 2-15 CCC) looked to compete early in the contest, jumping out to a 5-2 lead and playing even with the Yotes through the first 20 points of the set. The Coyotes (21-1, 16-0 CCC)turned to Torrey Hulsey, who rocketed three-straight kills in a 5-0 push to take a 19-12 lead - helping the hosts win the first set.
The host Yotes were never threatened in sets two and three, as WP could not duplicate their positive hitting percentage from set one. The Knight finished the match with a .020 hitting efficiency, while the C of I swung at a .341 clip.
Shayla Dahl led the Knights with 5 kills, while Jacalyn Chew-Dorsey had 13 digs.
Warner Pacific will conclude their season with a trip across Portland to Concordia on November 4th.
