PORTLAND, Ore. - Evergreen gave up an early goal but responded with two of their own to defeat Warner Pacific, 2-1, in Portland today.

Molly Klinkhammer scored her second goal of the season for Warner Pacific (1-12, 0-8 CCC)in the second minute of the game, taking a nice crossing pass and blasting home from six yards.

The Geoducks (2-10-1, 2-6 CCC) responded in the 23rd minute, as Leah Aragon tapped in from close range at the back post. The game winner came from Shani Ramento on a looping free kick from 30 yards away.

Chances for both teams were few and far between in the second period and though WP generated six corner kicks, each opportunity went begging. Kiki McDonagh ranged forward on one occasion, but her header attempt clanged off the crossbar.

The host Knights were flagged offside 10 times during the contest, which thwarted numerous attacks before they got started.  

Both teams will finish their season tomorrow. Evergreen will face 3rd ranked Concordia, while Warner Pacific will host Northwest.
