PORTLAND, Ore. – College of Idaho ended a two-match slide with a 3-0 victory over Warner Pacific tonight at C.C. Perry Gym.

The visiting Yotes (17-6, 14-2 CCC) never let the Knights get a rhythm going, and turned away a set two challenge to earn the sweep and stay in contention for the CCC title. Warner Pacific falls to 15-10 overall and 9-8 in CCC counters; still in playoff position with one match to play.

After WP tied set one at 8-8, C of I slowly pulled away thanks in part to three blocks from Torey Hulsey. The Knights kept it close and cut the lead to 19-22 after a Kristina Naff kill, but winners from Hulsey and Sofia Anxo gave the set to the Yotes, 25-20.

Warner Pacific controlled set two from the first serve, but watched the Yotes rally to tie the score at 22-22. The frame was still there for the taking for Warner Pacific, but the hosts could not finish their set point chance at 24-23. Two errors from the Knights and another Hulsey kill gave the set to C of I, 27-25.

The Yotes wore down WPC in set three, turning an 11-8 lead into a 22-12 advantage through middle portion of the frame. Three Knight kills at that point were too little, too late and Anxo served out the match with an ace to give C of I the victory.

WP's Devan Belshe led all players with 13 kills, while Rylie Engelson and Nicole Lisoski added five kills each.

Liz Myers and Sofia Anxo swung for 11 kills each to lead C of I.
