McMINNVILLE, Ore. - Warner Pacific gave up three goals in each half in a 6-0 loss at Linfield College tonight on the road.

The Wildcats' Emily Fellows scored three goals to lead the Linfield attack. Fellows' first goal came 37 minutes into the match, giving Linfield a commanding 3-0 advantage with eight minutes to play in the first half. Linfield outshot the Knights in the first period 16-0, and won six corner kicks while not allowing any.

Warner Pacific came out of the break noticeably more aggressive and launched its first real attack within the first minute of the second half. The Knights pushed the ball into the Wildcats' 18-yard box, but Linfield's back line was able to clear the loose ball before a shot was attempted. After a brief period of disorganization, Linfield regained control of possession and continued to move the ball well. After producing several more scoring opportunities, Fellows finished a shot from 10 yards out to push the spread to 4-0. With 24 minutes to play, Fellows  completed a hat trick – the fifth of her career – with a left-footed shot into the lower right corner of the goal.

Warner Pacific drew a direct free kick from 25 yards out with 8:30 to play, but the shot missed high and wide to the right. It was the Knights' lone shot of the game.

The Knights will be back in action on Saturday September 8th, taking on Whitman College in Salem, Ore.
