Box Score

CALDWELL, Idaho – Liz Myers had 15 kills and eight blocks to lead The College of Idaho to victory over Warner Pacific College, sweeping the Knights 25-15, 25-23, 25-10, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The Lady Yotes (11-9, 11-2 CCC) pounded out 38 kills and recorded 11 team blocks in the victory.

WPC (4-20, 1-13) jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead in Set 1, taking advantage of three C of I hitting errors.  The Yotes responded with an 8-1 push to regain the lead and Kylie Porter added a pair of stuff blocks to cruise to the opening win.

Set 2 featured 11 ties and seven lead changes, with the Knights erasing a 12-9 C of I lead with seven-consecutive points, grabbing a 16-12 advantage on a Loren Hernandez kill.  A Myers stuff block and back to back combo blocks from Myers and Sofia Anxo gave the Yotes an 18-17 lead, but WP fought back to take a 23-22 edge on a C of I hitting error.  The hosts dug deep, getting a Kylee Nawahine kill and forced two WP miscues to close out the set.

The final set was all C of I, as the Yotes rode six Myers kills and four more from Nawahine to complete the sweep.

Nawahine had 12 kills and 11 digs in the victory, Jayde Folsom recorded 33 assists and seven digs, and Janel Porter logged 23 digs.
