Knights Shutout Eagles on Final Day

KIRKLAND, Wash. – Warner Pacific scored the game's only goal in the 73rd minute as the Knights shutout Northwest University in their final regular season game. Andres Campos score the game winner for WPC putting a spoiler on NU senior day.

Neither team would break through with a score in the first half with a total of 14 shots taken. Both goalkeepers grabbed two saves in the period to keep the Knights and Eagles scoreless.

The second half continued to be a defensive game as neither team could manage a score. Campos came into the game at the 70:12 mark for teammate Mario Guizar and almost two minutes later, gathered his own blocked shot, dribbled up the left side and put his shot into the far right corner for the game winner. Northwest came close to tying the game at the 74:53 mark when Jacob Weaver's shot hit the crossbar.

Joe White earned the shutout for Warner Pacific (7-8-3, 6-7-1CCC) with 4 solid saves in goal as Northwest outshot Warner Pacific 19-17. Daniel Christenson took the loss in goal for Northwest U (14-4, 10-4 CCC) grabbing 6 saves on 7 shots on goal.
