ASHLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific volleyball ended their season to 13th ranked and CCC Co-Champion Southern Oregon tonight 3 sets to 1 (25-21, 25-7, 22-25, 25-17).
The Knights were determined to give SOU a challenge, and did so in the first set. WPC was within 23-21 after a block from
Hannah Wright and
Nicole Lisoski. The Raiders called timeout and regrouped to score the final two points.
Set two was all Southern Oregon, cruising to the 25-7 win. Warner Pacific managed just three kills during the frame. Set three was a different story, as the Knights fought for a 16-12 lead. The hosts drew within two points (21-23) but a pair of kills from
Janessa White gave the frame to WP and the sweep was avoided.
In the final set, WPC battled the Raiders point for point and were within shouting distance at 17-19 after two SOU errors. The Raiders scored the final six points of the set however, and won going away, 25-17.
White led WP with 11 kills, while
Nicole Lisoski added six kills and hit .455 on the night.
Marchelle Bostic touched up 24 assists.
