Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho – Warner Pacific dropped their third CCC game in a row with a 70-61 loss at College of Idaho in men's basketball action tonight.
The victory for the No. 10 ranked Yotes (20-5, 11-2 CCC) was their seventh in a row and clinched a berth in the Cascade Conference Tournament.
The Knights (12-12, 6-6) did not make it easy, as
Ryan Parks hit back-to-back three's to fuel a second half run, that gave WP a 46-43 lead with 11 minutes remaining. A Demetrious Perkins basket ignited a 14-3 run, with a Josh Wilson three-pointer giving the Yotes the lead for good at 52-49.
Leading just 64-60 with three minutes to play, C of I did not allow another made field goal by the Knights – sealing their first season sweep against their conference foe in nine seasons.
Perkins scored 23 of his game-high 29 points in the second half.
Parks led WP with 18 points, including six three-pointers, with
Josh Black and
Doug Thomas each scoring 11. The Knights made just 21-percent of their field goals after halftime.
