Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MERCED, Calif. - On the second day of action at the UC Merced Tournament, the Knight Volleyball team fell to San Diego Christian but bounced back to sweep the host team. 

The Basics

• Score: GAME 1: Warner Pacific 0, San Diego Christian 3 (18-25, 19-25, 15-25)  GAME 2: Warner Pacific 3, UC Merced 0 (26-24, 25-19, 25-14)
• Records: WPC (2-3), SDCC (1-3), UCM (1-4)
• Location: Hostetler Court, Merced Calif.
• The Short Story: Warner Pacific dropped their first contest on the 2nd day of action at the UC Merced tournament in straight set to San Diego Christian. The Hawks held WP to just 20 kills for the match, while hitting for 41 winners themselves. SDCC also served for six aces, and gave the Knight serve receivers trouble on many more. Cara Wonsley was a bright spot for WPC, as she swung for four kills versus just one error, and it marked the start of a solid day for the freshman.

The Knights bounced back on Saturday evening with a sweep of host team UC Merced. Janessa White pounded out 10 kills and the Knights as a team improved considerably in their effeciency on attack. The result was also due to a complete reversal of fortune at the service line. The Knights floated over eight aces - three from White, and allowed just two from the Bobcats.

Notables

• Janessa White led the Knights with 36 kills over the course of the tourney.
• Nicole Kincaide registered a career best eight kills in the win over UC Merced.
• Cara Wonsley followed up her strong match vs SDCC with a career best seven kills vs. UC Merced.
• The Knights fell behind 14-7 in the first set vs UCM before storming back to win 26-24.
• Kelsey Merritt fired over four service aces during the win.
