PORTLAND, Ore. - Ashley Valencia and Cristal Ruvalcaba each found the back of the net twice in a 5-0 win over Trinity Lutheran tonight at Strasser Field.

The Basics

Score: Warner Pacific 5, Trinity Lutheran 0,
 Records: WPC (3-4-1), TLC (0-5)
 Location: Strasser Field, Portland, Ore.
The Short Story: Taking on a Trinity Lutheran side that had just nine players in uniform, Warner Pacific eventually wore down the visiting Eagles for a 5-0 non-conference win. Despite the 2-player advantage, it took until the 40th minute for the Knights to break through for a goal. Ashley Valencia scored the first of her two on the night with a point blank finish of a shot from Crystal Foster that clanged off the post. WP found the resistance from the TLC defense easier to crack in the second half, and were able to find the net four more times, including a brace from Cristal Ruvalcaba.

Notables

Valencia leads the Knights with four goals in 2014.
• WP keeper Allie Holterman went the distance, helping the team to a fourth shutout this season
Gelsomina Cavalli-Singer scored her first collegiate goal.
• Trinity Lutheran was able to get forward on several occasions, and forced WP's Holterman to make nine saves.
