• Records: WPC (9-10, 6-8 CCC), OIT (12-8, 7-7 CCC)
• Location: C.C. Perry Gym, Portland, Ore.
• The Short Story: Warner Pacific defeated Oregon Tech for the second time this season, this time in three closely contested sets. WP limited the Owls to 30 kills thanks to 49 digs including 16 from Brandy Velasquez. The Knights also served for 11 aces, tying a season high.

How it Happened

• The first set was a back-and-forth battle, with OIT managing to scrape a 20-18 lead.
• WP scored seven of the last eight points to claim the frame, powered by two kills from Grace Rivers
• Set two was also close, at least early on. This time the Knights used a 7-0 run with Julia Toscano at the service line to take a 15-9 advantage.

• OIT responded and fought back to even the score at 18-18, but two kills each from Nicole Kincaide and Janessa White allowed WP to pull away and take the set 25-22.
• The Knights gained confidence as set three started, and sprinted out to lead 17-9. Kincaide put away four kills during another 7-0 run.
• The Owls gave one more effort to avoid the sweep, and the visitors closed to within 17-19 behind three kills from Kelsey Sampson.
• WPC withstood the OIT charge, and Kincaide capped her outstanding night with two more winners.

Notable

• Kincaide finished with 13 kills versus just one error, good for a .600 hitting percentage.
