Knight Men Win Third in a Row, Defeat WWU 3-0

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. - Warner Pacific men's soccer won their third straight game, defeating Walla Walla University 3-0 on the road on Friday.

The Basics

• Score: Warner Pacific 3, Walla Walla 0
• Records: WPC (6-5-1, 3-2-1 CCC), Walla Walla (0-7, 0-7 CCC)
• Location: ,Wolves Soccer Complex, College Place, Wash.
• The Short Story: Warner Pacific continued their march up the CCC standings with the shutout victory over Walla Walla. WPC booted 44 shots at the WWU goal, 17 of which were on frame. 

How it Happened

• Warner Pacific scored their first goal at the 30:20 mark as senior forward Cesar Esquivel found the back of the net to put the Knights ahead.  
• The winning goal was Esquivel's seventh on the season.
• The Knights would follow with two more successful shots in the second half. Edgar Contreras (59:25) and Jack Andrade (72:30) put the contest out of reach for the visitors.
• Andrade's goal was his first in a Knight uniform.
• Goalkeepers Joe White and Erdal Barkay combined to earn the shutout.
