KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech eased past Warner Pacific, 87-76 tonight in Cascade Collegiate Conference women's basketball action.
The Owls improved to 20-10 overall, their fourth-straight 20+ win season, and with a 9-9 mark in CCC action finished fifth in the conference standings. The Owls will travel to Evergreen State for the first round of the CCC tournament. WPC season comes to end at 11-19 overall and 4-14 in CCC play.
Thibault added eight assists and four rebounds to her career-high 21 to lead Tech to the win. Tess Armstrong added 19 points with Megan Whetstone 16 points and seven boards and Ashleigh Vandenbrink 14. Seniors Reb Matteri, coming off a 20 point performance last night, and Brittney Garrett scored two each.
Lindsey Loe, playing in foul trouble scored a team-high 17 points to lead the Knights.
Kyeli Hendryx netted 14 and
Megan Tullis 11 in the loss.
Both team scorched the nets from long distance with WPC hitting 10-of-20 and Tech 11-for-24. The Owls shot 54.9 percent overall with the Knights knocking down 43.5 percent of their tries. WPC held a 32-31 edge on the boards.
