VANCOUVER, B.C. - Warner Pacific came out on the wrong side of a 1-0 scoreline after their second contest in Canada, this time versus Kwantlen.
The Knight defense was strong again today, but did concede a lone goal - this time in the 36th minute. The Knights received excellent goalkeeper play, as the netminding trio of
Mariah Liebert,
Zoey Dahme, and
Cathy Lara combined for five saves including several big stops on breakaway opportunities.
WP played the final 15 minutes with 10 players, as Dahme was shown the red card for handling the ball outside the box while preventing a scoring chance.
Sitera Allison nearly found the game tying score in the 62nd minute, but her effort from close range just missed the left post.
