PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific swept past CCC debutantes Multnomah in three sets tonight at Jim Skagen Court. It was the opening Cascade Conference contest for both squads.

• Records: WPC (2-1, 1-0 CCC), Multnomah (0-1, 0-1 CCC)

• The Short Story:  Warner Pacific spoiled the first ever Cascade Conference match for Multnomah, sweeping the Lions in three sets.

How It Happened

• The Knights used a .440 hitting percentage in the first set taking the early lead over MU.
• The second set was close, as the teams traded points until the score read 17-17.
• Four straight points thanks to three Multnomah errors put the frame solidly in WPC's control
• Set three looked to belong to Warner Pacific after the Knights built a 20-11 lead,
• The Lions made it interesting by scoring 10 of the next 12 points. 
• A pair of kills and an ace from Julia Toscano gave the set and match to WP.

Notable

• Janessa White led all players with 16 kills versus just three errors.
• Kealia Rosa ran the offense by touching up 31 assists.
• Patty Batoon led the way for the Lions with 14 kills.
