PORTLAND, Ore. - Carroll College broke through in the second overtime versus Warner Pacific with a golden goal, giving the Saints a 1-0 victory today at Damazo Field.

The Basics

• Score: Carroll 1, Warner Pacific 0
• Records: WPC (1-5-2, 0-3 CCC), CAR (5-3, 3-0 CCC)

• The Short Story: It took over 105 minutes, but Carroll finally found a way to score against a stingy Warner Pacific defense. Lexy Pyette tapped in a loose ball in the 106th minute to keep the Saints perfect in CCC play.  

How it Happened

• The teams played an even first half, with neither side generating much offense. 
• Carroll booted five shots toward goal, while WP managed two which were all the Knights could muster for the game.
• The visiting Saints gained a grip on the game after the break, out shooting the Knights 8-0.
• WPC keeper Mariah Liebert was tested several times, but kept the game scoreless by making 11 saves.
• Fatigue set in for both squads in overtime as no chances at goal were created until the deciding score from Pyette.
