PORTLAND, Ore. -  Ashley Giesbers scored three goals to help Warner Pacific to a 4-0 non-conference win over Northwestern College (Iowa) yesterday at Damazo Field.

• The Short Story: The Knights scored two goals in each half in the win over Northwestern, three of which came off the foot of freshman Ashley Giesbers. WPC was also stingy on the defensive side of the ball, allowing just two shots for the game by the visiting Red Raiders.

How it Happened
• Giesbers opened the scoring in the 8th minute, as the forward stepped in front of a pass and surged toward the goal. She finished to the left of the goalkeeper to give WP the 1-0 lead. 
• The Knights tacked on a second score in the 39th minute. Giesbers took a pass from Taylor Kern and placed a chipped shot from right to left from 16 yards.
• Mackenzie Ancien scored her second goal of 2016 in the 52nd minute, running onto a through pass from Giesbers and slotting home the breakaway chance.
• WP continued to control much of the possession through the rest of the second half, and the Knight defense turned away all attempts by the Raiders to create scoring opportunities.
• The final goal was a 20 yard strike from Giesbers in the 76th minute. Alexis Smith was credited with the assist.
