COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. - Warner Pacific got back into the win column with an 81-54 decision over Walla Walla in women's basketball action on the road today.
The Knight defense made it difficult for the WWU shooters as the host Wolves connected on just 18 of 74 attempts - a frosty 24 percent. On the other hand, WPC ties their best shooting performance of the season at 45 percent on the way to a season high 81 points.
Despite the disparity in scoring efficiency, the outcome was still in doubt after three quarters. Warner Pacific managed to creep in front by nine points (56-47) to start the 4th quarter thanks to a three pointer from
Darbi Pink - one of her four makes from distance for the game.
The final stanza belonged to the Knights as the visitors outscored WWU 25-7 to pull away for the comfortable win.
