PORTLAND, Ore. – All 11 Warner Pacific players in uniform scored at least one field goal to help the Knights upend Pacific Union today in Portland by the score of 82-57.
The host Knights (2-4) outscored the Pioneers 25-14 in the 3rd period, as the WPC press began to take hold. Pacific Union committed 33 turnovers in all – 18 of them swiped by a Knight defender.
After Warner Pacific jumped out to a 21-11 lead after one quarter, the Pioneers stayed in the game thanks to Imari Clinton's 12 first half points.
A 10-0 run at the start of the 3rd quarter was the start of a dominating period for WPC. Emily Peters came alive for the Knights, scoring eight after halftime and finishing with a team high 13.
In addition to Peters, Shasta Lofgren came off the bench to add 12 points and seven rebounds.
Mady Hanna handed out a career high eight assists.
Imari Clinton led the Pioneers (1-4) with 15 points, while Gabriela Lua contributed 11 points.
