Knights Tame Lions With Three Point Shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific scored the first 11 points of the game and never looked back in a 75-53 win in Cascade Conference action in Portland tonight.
 
The host Knights (4-7, 2-1 CCC) made 14 of their 28 attempts from the three point line and shot 46 percent overall to sprint past the visiting Lions who remain winless on the season (0-11, 0-3 CCC)
 
Mady Hanna and Shasta Lofgren scored nine points each in the first half, helping WP build a 45-25 lead at halftime. MU managed just 8 of 30 from the field and committed 11 turnovers.
 
The Lions gave a better effort in the second half, outscoring WPC 16 to 15 in the 3rd quarter, with Bethany George finding the range for 10 points including a pair of makes from distance. Multnomah managed to close within 62047 in the 4th quarter, but the Knights responded with a 7-0 run capped by a Darbi Pink trey to put the game out of reach.
 
Pink Led WPC with 14 points including four three point makes. Lofgren added four three pointers of her own to finish with 12 points.
 
Bethany George was the top scorer for MU with a game high 17 points.
