PORTLAND, Ore. - The Warner Pacific women's basketball team tried to give their seniors a win in their final home game, but it was not to be as Northwest defeated the Knights 63-44 on Saturday night.
For much of the last month, WPC has been able to muster just six healthy players and senior night was no different.
Micaela Bitanga started the game for the Knights to allow her an appearance in her final game, then was subbed off immediately to a round of applause.
The host Knights could not get much going offensively, shooting just 29 percent from the floor in the first half and 32 percent for the game. The Eagles were only slightly better, but offensive rebounding and putbacks from Miranda Lagenhorst allowed NU to methodically pull away.Â
Bailey Allen led WPC with 14 points and nine rebounds, while
Kyeli Hendryx added 12 points in her final game as a Knight.
