PORTLAND, Ore. – Southern Oregon used a dominant second half to pull away from Warner Pacific and claim their 12th CCC win tonight at Bart Valentine Court.
The contest was marred by numerous turnovers, with the visiting Raiders committing 27. The host Knights in turn gave the ball away 31 times as both teams employed full court pressure.
WPU tried to stay with the high-powered Raiders early, and led 19-18 after the 1st quarter. The second period was also tight until the final minute, as SOU scored the final five points to extend their halftime lead out to 44-34.
The second half belonged to Southern Oregon thanks to 45 percent shooting (15 of 33), while holding the Knights to just 22 percent (8 of 35).
Remi Mejia scored 19 points to lead SOU, while Ariel Augustine added 13 points and 12 rebounds.

SOU improved to 22-1 overall and 12-1 in CCC play. The Knights fell to 10-4 and 6-8.
