BUTTE, Mont. - Warner Pacific picked up a big win on the road, besting Montana Tech 75-65 on Kelvin Sampson Court on Thursday night.
The Knights won their third straight game to start the 2018 season, this one at the PayneWest Montana Tech Tip-Off Classic.Â
The first half was close, with WPU holdign the slight edge, 35-27 at halftime. The host Orediggers drew within a single point (50-49) with 10:14 showing on the clock in the second half, but a 16-0 run from the Knights proved to be the difference in the game.
Knights finished the game 29-for-68 (42.6%) from the floor.
Collin Malcolm led all players with 20 points.
Brandon Rowden and
Morris Bethea added 12 points each.
