PORTLAND, Ore. – An improved shooting performance and stingy defense led Warner Pacific to a 77-54 win over Lewis & Clark College in a cross-town clash tonight.
The host Knights (7-3) were able to score the ball with much better efficiency than recent outings, connecting at a 47 percent rate including 8 of 18 from three point range.
Darbi Pink got off the mark with three makes from distance.
The visiting Pioneers (2-8) had trouble with WPU's full court pressure, turning the ball over 33 times. Peyton Romo crashed the key for 8 points and 10 rebounds, but L&C made just 36 percent of their field goal attempts and went 1 of 13 from behind the arc.
