KIRKLAND, Wash. – Warner Pacific turned a game that was tied at halftime into a comfortable win at Northwest on Saturday night. The final score was 74-54.
The visiting Knights used pressure defense to force NU into 42 turnovers, leading to 37 points. Despite the defensive effort by the Knights the host Eagles kept the game close with strong defense of their own, holding WP to just 28 percent shooting before halftime. Warner Pacific had to close the 2nd quarter with a 7-0 run to tie the game 31-31 at the break.
The second half was all WPU, who held Northwest to just seven field goals after halftime and finished the game with 18 steals.
Bailey Allen led the Knights with 15 points, while
Deepika Kapil added 11 points and 11 rebounds. All 12 players in uniform scored at least one point.
Miranda Langenhorst paced the host Eagles with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
