PORTLAND, Ore. - A late comeback by Warner Pacific was turned aside by Oregon Tech, as the Owls claimed the CCC win at Bart Valentine Court on Sunday.
The host Knights found themselves trailing by 11 points with 4:56 to play, but stormed back to take a 70-69 lead with 48 seconds to play. Seth Erickson converted a three-point play on the next possession for OIT, and the Knights came up empty on their game tying attempt.
Gabe Garrett had his best effort of the season for Warner Pacific, scoring 20 points with an array of moves to the basket and a pair of three point makes.
OIT was led by Mitchell Fink's game high 21 points.
