OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Warner Pacific women's wrestling team made a strong showing at the WCWA National Championship, placing 23rd overall. Regina Dickinson became the 4th All-American in the program's short history, placing 8th in the 136 lb weight class.

Dickinson was also named WCWA Academic All-American for her efforts in the classroom. "Regina is someone we want others to aspire to be like." said Coach Frank Johnson. "Her work ethic and the way she lives out her faith on and off the mat are above reproach. I am so glad she was able to finish her career on such a high note!"

Dickinson started the tournament with two wins - the first by decision over Miyuki Pugrad of Lyon College, then a tech fall over Brittany Bates of Wayland Baptist. She dropped to the consolation bracket after a tech fall loss to Desiree Zavala fo Grays Harbor.

Bouncing back, the senior posted two more wins. After tech falling Julia Mata from Missouri Valley, she dug deep for a 9-4 decision over Anna Poyner from Missouri Valley in the blood round to secure her All-American status. Regina ended her tourney with a tech fall loss to Bridgette Duty from University of the Cumberlands.

Three more Knights made the trip, with Kaitlyn Funai (116 lbs) and Sterling Magnuson (191 lbs) each scoring one victory to add to WPU's point total of 13.5 to place 23rd as a team. Angie Sletten competed at 109 lbs but went 0-2.
