SALEM, Ore. – Warner Pacific shooters could not find the mark in the 1st quarter, and the Knights could not overcome the early deficit in a 71-61 loss at Corban on Saturday.
After putting up 20 points in the first quarter while holding the Knights to just 11, the Warriors built the lead to 13 points by the break. WP made just 3 of 17 shots in the first 10 minutes. 
In the second half, Warner Pacific made a number of runs to cut into the Warrior lead, but Corban had the answer time and time again, staving off the Knights to hold on for the 10-point triumph.
In the loss, Shasta Lofgren and Deepika Kapil both finished with 11 points for the Knights. As a team, Warner Pacific shot just 31.0% from the field, while Corban shot at a more efficient clip, scoring 41.7% of their attempts on the night.
