SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota - Warner Pacific Men's Basketball will take on Southeastern University from Lakeland, Florida in the first round of the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
The Knights are making their 11th appearance at the tournament, and have a 6-10 record at the event. WPU has never made it past the 2nd round, but would love to make their deepest run this year. The Knights qualified for the tournament this season by virtue of their runner-up finish in the Cascade Conference.Â
The SEU Fire are part of the Sun Conference, and boast a 21-9 overall record in 2017-18. It is the program's 2nd ever appearance at the national tournament. They qualified by winning the Sun Conference Tournament. Players to watch for SEU include high scoring guards Ryan Atkins (21.4 ppg), and CJ Reese (14.6 ppg).Â
Tip-off is Thursday, March 8 at 8:15 am Pacific Time.
